Bleed Explained in 60 Seconds
Bleed is artwork that extends past the final trim edge — usually 0.125 inches on each side. Press sheets shift by tiny amounts during cutting, and bleed guarantees your background colour or image reaches the very edge of the finished piece.
Without bleed, a fraction of a millimetre of misalignment leaves an unwanted white hairline. With it, the cutter has room for error and you get a perfect edge every time.
Our templates include bleed guides. Download one from the Templates page and build your artwork on top of it.
